RCIF Key Messages - July 14, 2022


  • On July 14, 2022, the Rural Capacity Investment Fund (RCIF) Committee had its second meeting.

  • The focus of the meeting was visioning a future state of what is possible in building capacity and improving retention and recruitment in rural Alberta.

  • The RCIF committee also identified barriers to achieving this future state.

  • The RCIF Committee developed a robust agenda to guide future meetings with a focus on criteria, workflow and data.

  • RCIF encourages worksites to begin collaborating on ideas for retention and recruitment initiatives through Section VI of the Workforce Enhancement Task Force Letter of Understanding #7.

  • The RCIF Committee looks forward to our continued collaboration in the coming months to support retention and recruitment initiatives in rural communities.
